Blog Makeover and Prize Competition

I'm planning to have a blog makeover. When I first started blogging about seven years ago now I think, all I really did craftwise was knitting. Now, I dabble in all sorts of arty crafty stuff but don't do much knitting! So, KnitYoga as a title is no longer appropriate. It doesn't fit any more. Also, I've been tired of the plain old blogger template for quite a while and now want something more personalised in the way of a background, banner, etc. In short, my blog needs a new lease of life. I probably do, too, but unfortunately templates for that are hard to come by! ;-)

The competition is to help me find a name for my blog that fits better. After I've decided on a name, I'll have my blog makeover done. Can't wait! If you want to enter the competition, please leave a comment, suggesting a name for my blog. Remember, I'm looking for a name that 'fits' my blog. Uniqueness, too, would be a bonus. You can make as many suggestions as you like. A prize will be awarded to the person who suggests the one I like best whether I choose to use it in the end or not. I'm in the UK but am happy to post a prize internationally so, wherever you are in the world, please leave your suggestions. I will pick a winner on the last day of this month. I have no idea what the prize will be yet but I promise it will be worth it!

Springtime Button Fairies Ready to Fly

My springtime button fairies are now ready to fly. Most are going to the US and one to Singapore. A couple are for people who aren't in the swap and who aren't expecting them but a little fairy to bring some magic to one's life never goes amiss, does it?

ATCs and Altered Box Swap

We've been making ATCs in one of the Ravelry groups I belong to. These are the ones I made.

The postman brought a lovely package yesterday all the way from the US. I organised an altered box swap and I received mine from Lisa. The idea was that we recycled an empty chocolate box or similar and altered it with a theme, colour, etc, that we thought our partner would like and then filled it with art and craft supplies that our partner could use. Lisa certainly went to town on the one I received. The theme was travel.

And it was filled to the brim with gorgeous arty crafty booty!

I've made these for a swap.

Here's a close up of one of them.
